Dr. Boyd grew up in Fort Collins,
Colorado and has earned Masters and Doctoral degrees in entomology at Texas A&M
University where he studied insects associated with domestic
animals. In
addition to his responsibilities at Cross Timbers, he has
consulted with various North Texas health departments with insect
related concerns and has performed numerous
out-reach programs. He is a member of the Entomological
Society of America, American Heartworm Society and the
American Lepidopterist Society. In his spare time, he enjoys working
on his and wife's 110-year-old house, air-cooled VW Beetles, reading, riding and
restoring bicycles and playing with his children and dogs. |
